Allan Mishra, MD specializes in the arthroscopic surgical treatment of knee and shoulder disorders such as rotator cuff tears and anterior cruciate ligament tears. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Stanford University Medical Center and has treated athletes from all levels of expertise from high school to professional and Olympians.
Dr. Mishra's primary area of research interest is in the biologic treatment of tendon disorders. He has presented his research at regional, national and international meetings and has published scientific articles and book chapters about sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. He has treated athletes from the PGA, San Francisco 49ers, the San Francisco Giants and many Olympic level competitors. Finally, Dr. Mishra has served as one of the physicians for the US Decathlon team. He is an avid golfer, skier and triathlon participant.
